Verifying DNS server is functioning properly

To verify the DNS function is working properly in Active directory environment

follow the below steps

Verify the basic DNS function

1. open the command prompt from the DC/DNS server in administrator privilege

2. Run the following command dcdiag /test:dns

you will receive a message RID.Domain passed DNS test

Verify the resource record registration

1.open the command prompt

2.dcdiag /test:dns /v /s:SRVDC /DnsRecordRegistration

Verifying Dynamic Update

1.opene command prompt

2. dcdiag /test:dns /v /s:SRVDC /DnsDynamicUpdate
