DataBase Restoration Steps
RECOVERY PROCESS AND DATABASE RESTORATION
- Power up server, Log in as Administrator, Configure iP, Make sure it can be communicated to BIOS.
- Create windows users in the server – based on POS user & Password (Refer below screenshot)
- Open SQL server Management studio , Login as sa (user name is sa|Pssword is AAE$sql2018)
- Restore backup. Refer below, Right Click on database and select restore Database.

- Click on Device and select the file location (blue circle) and locate the backup
- Click Ok, and then click OK again on the Restore database page.
- Database will start restore. As soon as the db restore , run SQL script to clear previous user metadata. (Refer below) Click on file explorer and location D:\Del User and run the script.
Make sure that you have selected the right database (refer below)

- Once the scrip is run, add nav_local user to db, and give db owner and other access, same as in the below screenshot.

- Open NAV administration, Create New instance and enter, database name, Port numbers same as previous name.


- Provide service account details, nav_local and password(same as below)

- Start the service, and add current user as Administrator with Super user access.
- Add, windows user to application and assign store and terminal, (same as below)

- Configure POS client with server link
